DC kishtwar listens to the grievances of people at Sub-Division Paddar during the weekly Block Diwas

Kishtwar : To redress the grievances of the people at their door step, the district Administration Kishtwar on the direction of higher authorities have restarted the Block Diwas programme in the district.
In this regard today a mega outreach programme was held under the aegis of Block Diwas here at BDO office,Gulab Garh Paddar wherein locals PRIs and people took part with due observance of COVID-19 guidelines in letter and spirit.
The programme was conducted under the close supervision of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Kumar Sharma.
Among others who attended the outreach programme were Chairperson Block Development Council, block Paddar Arpan Singh Rana, SDM Paddar Varunjeet Singh Charak, ACD Kishtwar Atul Dutt Sharma,
District Social welfare officer/DIO Kishtwar Tariq Parveez Qazi, Tehsildar Paddar Om Prakash, BMO Dr Raj Kumar ,XEn PHE Anil Kailu,besides other officers and field functionaries of various departments.
During the programme the PRIs and public highlighted various Issues/grievances of their respective Panchayats.
The main issues includes the provisions of interrupted water and power supply at Affani, jar,Massu,Atholi, Ishtiyari,Tiyari, Hamoori besides demanded for the strengthening of the health sector by providing adequate staff in the various health centres and SDH Atholi Paddar.
Besides, the issues pertaining the assessment of fruit bearing trees damaged during the recent snow fall, Solar System for mitigating the emergency in PHC Atholi, augmentation of mobile network connectivity and provisions of road connectivity in the far flung areas were also raised in the outreach programme.
DDC Kishtwar listened to the grievances of the people and maximum of the grievances were redressed onspot.
whereas the rest of the grievances were recorded by the concerned department and they were directed to redress these grievances with utmost priority.
On the issue of the PMAY, DDC Kishtwar asked PRI members and the locals to conduct gram Sabhas to prepare the list of left out eligible beneficiaries for PM Awas Yojana and share it with the BDO paddar.
Besides DC kishtwar also directed BDO to conduct gram Sabhas to identify and project the works under the Area Development Plan so that durable assets are created in Panchayats.
Speaking on the occasion DC Kishtwar urged the PRIs to sensitize the farmers to shift to the ultra High Denisty plantation so that the Horticulture potential of area is fully tapped.
Various Individual deputations were also attended by DC kishtwar during the programme.
Later, DC Kishtwar conducted an interactive meeting with the local PRIs and discussed some important issues pertaining to the implementation of Community Forest Right Act and Employement and Development of skill of the youth in the area.
Earlier, enroute to Paddar DDC Kishtwar alongwith ACD Kishtwar and DSWO Kishtwar paid a surprise visit at Primary Health Centre Keru and PHC Atholi Paddar.
He inspected the health care facilities being provided besides checked the attendence register and duty rooster.
DC Kishtwar stressed the Medical officers and the staff members to maintain the punctuality and said that any type of laxity shall not be tolerated and strict action shall taken against the defaulters.
