Udhampur DDC Chairperson visits several Panchayats,inspectsdevelopmentalworks

Udhampur :To take stock of the ongoing developmental works undertaken by different departments,District Development Council, Chairperson Udhampur Lal Chand on Tuesday conducted an extensive tour of Panchayat Garnai, Barolla, Neeli Nallah and Jib-(A)and inspected the developmental activities.
Earlier, Chairperson DDC laid the foundation for the installation of waterpipes in Panchayat Garnai in presence of Chairman Block Development Council Udhampur, Balwan Singh, District Development Councilor,Tikri Ashu Sharma, Sarpanch Panchayat Garnai,Vikram Singh,Sarpanch Panchayat Jib-A,Rakesh,Junior Engineer PHE Department and the concerned contractor.
The said pipes will be installed at the cost of Rs.5.00 lakh for which the funds have been provided by the DDC Tikri, Ashu Sharma on the recommendation of Chairperson Block Development Council Udhampur.
Meanwhile, Chairperson DDC Udhampur laid the foundation stone for the construction of 3 number of Additional Class rooms in Government High Secondary School Barolla. He informed that additional classrooms once completed will meet the accommodation needs of students and the staff.
The foundation stone was laid in the presence of BDC Chairperson Balwan Singh, DDC Tikri, Ashu Sharma,Sarpanch Barolla,Irshad,other PRI members and staff of the school.
The DDC Chairperson also visited Morha Thed Nalia of Panchayat Jib-A and interacted with the PRIs and public of the area and listened to their demands and issues patiently and assured them that he will take up the matter with concerned authorities and their demands will be fulfilled on apriority basis.
The residents of the area, especially youth, have demanded immediate construction of a road from Jib Chowk to Thed Nalia by way of widening and blacktopping of the road.
The Chairperson DDC assured the public that District Development Council Udhampur is working in all possible ways to mitigate the grievances of the general public. Later, he visited Panchayat Neeli Nallah and took stock of the progress of construction of 02 Number of Additional Class Rooms(ACRs)which are beingconstructed in Govt.School Dhani.
