Distt Admin Anantnag holds meeting on e-Waste management in the distt

Anantnag : In compliance with the directions of the State Pollution Control Committee, the District Administration Anantnag Monday convened a meeting on e-Waste management under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Ghulam Hassan Sheikh.
The ADC emphasized the need for recycling resources to prevent depletion of natural resources and reduce environmental degradation. He also laid stress on the need for proper disposal of e-waste from the perspective of data security.
A threadbare discussion was held on the subject and the attendees were instructed to maintain records of e-waste handled and generated by them. They were directed to spread awareness regarding e-waste among the people to ensure proper disposal at ground level.
Institutional heads of bulk e-waste generators were directed to tie up with professional e-waste dismantlers.
