Covid-19 In JK: 5 new deaths reported, toll rises to 4647

Srinagar, Jammu: Jammu & Kashmir on Friday reported 4354 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 1440 from Jammu division and 2914 from Kashmir division, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 424085, said J&K Government on Friday in it’s daily covid bulletin, stating therein further that five Covid deaths including 3 from Jammu Division and 2 from Kashmir valley mounted J&K’s overall covid death toll to 4247.
Government in it’s daily covid bulletin further said that moreover, 5850 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 1918from Jammu Division and3932 from Kashmir Division, stating therein further that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported Friday, thus the total number of confirmed casesremains51 across J&K.
On COVID vaccination, the bulletin informs that 33,999doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to2,03,67,133.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 424085 positive cases, 45156are Active Positive (11110in Jammu Division and 34046in Kashmir Division), 374282 have recovered and 4647 have died; 2268 in Jammu division and 2379in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 21193599 test results available, 424085 samples have tested positive and 20769514 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 72,041 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.
Till date 5694035 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 16973persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 45156 in isolation and 424424 in home surveillance. Besides, 5202835 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported Friday, the Bulletin said that Srinagar reported 916 cases, Baramulla reported 290 cases, Budgam reported 229 cases, Pulwama reported 90 cases, Kupwara reported 618 cases, Anantnag reported 329 cases, Bandipora reported 109cases, Ganderbal reported 42 cases, Kulgam reported 262cases while as Shopian reported 29 fresh cases for Friday.
Similarly, Jammu reported 763 cases, Reasi reported 61 cases for Friday, Udhampur reported 111 cases, Rajouri reported 43 cases, Doda reported 103 cases, Kathua reported 68 cases, Samba reported 104 cases, Poonch reported 91 cases, Kishtwar reported 30 cases while as Ramban reported 106 fresh cases for Friday.
Moreover, the bulletin also highlights that against the availability of 5038 dedicated level 1 & level 2 COVID beds, only 546 ( 10.83%) are occupied.
The bulletin informs that in case of any help, the general public can call J&K Centralised Health Helpline- Toll Free No. 104.In case of emergency, people can avail free ambulance services 24×7 by calling toll free number 108 while as pregnant women and sick infants can avail free services by dialling toll free number 102, the bulletin reads.
It also informs that the public can reach national helpline by dialling 1075.
