38000 beneficiaries registered for digital literacy in the distt: DC Budgam

Budgam : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shabaz Ahmed Mirza Friday chaired a meeting to review the progress under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (PMDISHA), across the district.
At the outset, the DC said that out of 42000 target, 38000 beneficiaries have been registered for digital literacy and above 20000 have been certified so far.
The DC said that special focus is given on digital literacy and directed concerned to speed up the digital literacy campaign across all targeted households and complete the target by February 2022.
Instructions were given to CEO Budgam and NRLM authorities to assist the concerned on digital literacy and complete the process of certifying the identified target groups on fast track basis.
Chairing a separate meeting, the DC also took review of progress for registration of disabled and their prosthetic aid requirement in collaboration with ALIMCO.
The DC stressed on holding of Panchayat wise camps and instructed Social Welfare and School Education departments to work in coordination for identification of disabled, malnourished, anemic children, pregnant, lactating mothers and adolescent girls.
He stressed on establishment of poshan vatikas and providing of safe drinking water and toilet facilities at all Aganwadi centres besides instructed conecrend to ensure display of panchayat wise NSAP and ISSS pensioners.
Direction were given to the concerned to submit monthly report without any fail, and completion of survey of both physically and mentally specially- abled persons, providing of I-Cards to them besides the identification of trans-genders and distribution of I-Cards to them.
The DC called for completion of registration process for pre and post-matric scholarships awards to students. He emphasized on registration of intellectually challenged persons and payment of premium for their coverage in National Trust insurance Scheme.
Among others the meeting was attended by DPO ICDS, SDM Chadoora, CMO, CEO, AD Planning, District Coordinator CSC and other concerned.
