Srinagar| Jan, 27: Police on Thursday day said rescued a girl from Srinagar after her abduction and arrested the accused on Thursday, police statement said.
Stating that police station received a written complaint on January 14, from a resident of Danihama regarding the abduction of her 20-year-old sister (name withheld) who had gone shopping and did not return back to home, Police in it’s statement further said that it registered a missing report and started investigations during which it was learnt that the missing girl was abducted by one Mohammad Sahil Kumar of Rawalpora Srinagar. After the strenuous efforts of police and with the help of technical and physical evidence, the abducted girl was recovered from the possession of the accused. The girl was handed over to her legal heirs after the legal formalities, the police said. ” The accused has been arrested,” the statement said.
