Covid-19 In JK: 8 new deaths reported in a day, toll rises to 4635

Jammu, Srinagar: Jammu & Kashmir on Wednesday reported 5606 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 1353 from Jammu division and 4253 from Kashmir division, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 414772’, said J&K Government in it’s daily covid bulletin, stating therein further that 8 deaths including 4 from Jammu Division and 4 from Kashmir Division reported on Wednesday mounted J&K’s overall covid death toll to 4635.
Government in it’s covid bulletin further said that moreover, 5005 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 1592 from Jammu Division and3413 from Kashmir Division, stating therein further that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported Wednesday, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 51 across J&K. On COVID vaccination, the bulletin informs that 16,040doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to2,02,92,209.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 414772 positive cases, 47969are Active Positive (13569in Jammu Division and 34400in Kashmir Division), 362168 have recovered and 4635 have died; 2264 in Jammu division and 2371in Kashmir division. The Bulletin further said that out of 21059806 test results available, 414772 samples have tested positive and 20645034 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 79,938 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours. Till date 5669143 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 11374persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 47969 in isolation and 426372 in home surveillance. Besides, 5178793 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported Wednesday, the Bulletin said that Srinagar reported 1305 cases, Baramulla reported 440 cases, Budgam reported 803 cases, Pulwama reported 134 cases, Kupwara reported 380 cases, Anantnag reported 528cases, Bandipora reported 66 cases, Ganderbal reported 297 cases, Kulgam reported 265 cases while as Shopian reported 35 fresh cases for Wednesday.
Similarly, Jammu reported 678 cases, Reasi reported 22 cases for Wednesday, Udhampur reported 129 cases, Rajouri reported 78 cases, Doda reported 84 cases, Kathua reported 38 cases, Samba reported 84 cases, Poonch reported 49 cases, Kishtwar reported 10 cases while as Ramban reported 181 fresh cases for Wednesday.
Moreover, the bulletin also highlights that against the availability of 5038 dedicated level 1 & level 2 COVID beds, only 609 ( 12.08%) are occupied.
The bulletin informs that in case of any help, the general public can call J&K Centralised Health Helpline- Toll Free No. 104.In case of emergency, people can avail free ambulance services 24×7 by calling toll free number 108 while as pregnant women and sick infants can avail free services by dialling toll free number 102, the bulletin reads.
It also informs that the public can reach national helpline by dialling 1075.
