DC Kathua chairs meeting to finalize R-Day arrangements

Kathua : District administration Kathua Thursday finalized the arrangements for the celebration of Republic Day 2022 in the district, here at a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Yadav at Conference Hall of DC office complex.
The meeting decided that the main function will be held at the Sports Stadium Kathua where the chief guest will unfurl the National Flag and take salute at the March past.
The celebrations of the national day event will start with the playing of ‘ShehnaiVadan’ at identified locations by District Information Centre Kathua.
The DC issued directions with regard to the arrangements viz security, traffic management, cleanliness and sanitation, seating arrangement, drinking water, power supply, Medicare facilities, refreshment, arrangement of prizes, road clearance, arrangement of fire tenders, invitation card distribution etc.
The Chief Education Officer, District Youth Services & Sports Officer were directed to ensure arrangements for the cultural programme for the Day.
The full dress rehearsal will be held on 24th January 2022, the meeting was informed.
The Deputy Commissioner also passed directions regarding unfurling of national flag and illumination in all government offices keeping in mind flag code and other protocols.
ADDC KathuaPuneet Sharma, ADC KathuaAtul Gupta, ASP Kathua, CPO, and officers of line departments were also present.
