DC Rajouri reviews arrangements for R-Day celebrations

Rajouri : Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, VikasKundal Monday reviewed the arrangements for the Republic Day-2022 celebrations here at a meeting with the line departments held in the Conference Hall of the PWD Dak Bungalow.
Officers who attended the meeting included ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; ACR, Tahir Mustafa Malik; ASP, VivekShekhar; ACD, SushilKhajuria; SE Hydraulics, JP Singh; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; AC Defence, SaleemQuershi; PO ICDS, Kartar Singh; DSEO, Bilal Rashid Mir; DSHO, Dr SarfrazNaseemChowdhury; CHO, MadanLal and other District Officers.
The meeting was informed that the celebration of the national event would begin with the playing of ShehnaiVadan by the Information Department and the district level function would be held at the District Police Line Rajouri, where the national flag would be unfurled by the chief guest followed by the parade comprising the contingents from J&K Police, CRPF, NCC cadets and school children.
Threadbare discussions regarding the arrangements including drinking water, power supply, sanitation, barricading, security and traffic regulation, seating arrangement, deployment of fire-tenders, medical teams etc were held in the meeting.
Addressing the officers in the meeting, the DDC asked the officers to put in place all the necessary arrangements well in time for the smooth and enthusiastic celebrations of the National event.
Stressing on ensuring strict adherence to COVID protocols while carrying out different activities related to the national event, he asked for ensuring that all the COVID related protocols are strictly adhered to by all the participants during rehearsals and on the scheduled day to avoid the risk of infection.
Meanwhile, the DC also visited the District Police line where Republic Day would be celebrated at the district level.
Taking a round of the venue, the DC was briefed in detail about the arrangements to be put in place at the venue including stage and seating, power and drinking water and parking facility.
The DC issued specific instructions to all concerned departments to ensure that all arrangements are made well in advance and stressed the close synergy between departments while making different arrangements for the smooth and successful conduct of the event.
