Kulgam : Following steep rise in Covid-19 positivity rate and its fast transmission across J&K, the District Administration Kulgam has imposed week-end restriction over non-essential movement across the district.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.BilalMohi-Ud-Din Bhat Saturday briefed the media persons and said that a slew of measures have been taken to contain the spread of virus and week-end restrictions are part of these measures.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC urged people to strictly adhere to Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) and stick to preventive measures especially use of face masks and adopting social distancing to avoid the spread of coronavirus.
Dr Bilal said that CAB enforcement is a solution to combat the aggressive transmission of the omicron variant and appealed to people not to lower the guard and continue to maintain the highest level of alertness to ensure implementation of SOPs to counter the spread of virus.
He added that aggressive testing is being carried out across the district to ensure in-time detection of positive cases.
