During the training sessions, hands-on and theoretical training were provided to the participants on first aid, disaster management and mental health, among other key social and environmental issues where NSS programme officers and volunteers can play a key role.
Experts discussed various mitigation strategies as well as importance of grassroots coordination during various endeavours of NSS, which is a public welfare scheme.
Coordinator NSS KU DrMussavir Ahmad and Superintendent of Police Hazratbal Mashkoor Ahmad jointly distributed certificates of participation at the valedictory session.
DrMussavir thanked the Vice-Chancellor Prof Talat Ahmad and Registrar DrNisar Ahmad Mir for their constant support to NSS programmes being held in the University from time to time.
