DDC Poonch holds public outreach camp at Surankote under Block Diwas prog

Poonch| : District Development Commissioner Poonch, InderJeet Wednesday chaired a public grievance redressalcamp , here at block Surankote under the Block Diwas program.
The programme was attended by DDC Member, Sohail Malik, CEO Tourism Dr.MohdTanveer, CMO, G.A Malik, CEO Education, TehsildarSurankote, Sheraz Ahmed Chouhan, DSWO, Shakeel Ahmed, Executive engineers of different departments, besides all AEE’s, JE’s, concerned officers, sarpanches&panches and other prominent citizens were present.
The program was held under strict adherence to Covid protocol and all the participants were fully masked and vaccinated.
TehsildarSurankote, Sheraz Ahmed Chauhan conducted the proceeding of the program.
During the meeting, the PRI members and locals raised various issues and demands of their areas. They demanded augmentation of water and power supply, medicare facility, improvement for roads, Covid mitigation measures, repairing of damaged pipes of PHE departments, restores damaged electrical poles, tendering criteria for transformer, PMAY houses, demands for kerosene oil, release of funds for developmental works, shortage of water, panchayatghar& PHC for Dandhidhara, restoration of damaged transformer, demands for essential services in Dharasangla and Hill Kaka, demands for cooperative society in surankote, Tourism hut for EidgahMahrose and various other developmental related issues were discussed in detail.
The Deputy Commissioner, after giving a patient hearing to the issues, said that district administration is committed to provide all the basic facilities at the doorsteps of the public.
On the occasion, the concerned officers also responded to the public issues on the spot.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the health department to revive covid Care Centres in all Panchayats.
He directed the concerned officers to execute and complete the state capex budget works within 10 days. He further directed the concerned Executive Engineers to restore damaged transformers and water pipe lines and expedite restoration of roads damaged during recent snow/rainfall.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner visited Sub Division Hospital Surankote and took stock of the arrangements and facilities available for treatment of Covid patients. He inspected Oxygen plant and also took stock of availability of Covid care medicines, Bed availability and other equipment requisite for treatment of patients in this hospital.
During the visit, the DC directed the concerned to ensure all the facilities are put in place for the patients besides maintaining proper hygiene within and outside the hospital.
He also directed the hospital administration not to allow people without masks and enforce COVID-19 SOP in letter and spirit and also appeal to the public to follow COVID appropriate behavior, get fully vaccinated and avoid crowded places.
