Ang/: The office of Municipal Committee, Qazigund Saturday rebutted a news report carried by a local newspaper on January 08 regarding functionality of street lights at Qazigund.
The news item claimed that the street lights at Qazigund are defunct, however, MC Qazigund clarified that 80% of the street lights are functional at present.
Further, office clarified that the process for restoration of the remaining lights is underway and estimate for the same has been forwarded to Director, Urban Local Bodies.
Also, it was informed that 1700 additional lights are being procured and will be installed throughout Qazigund in a time bound manner.
