Civil Defence organises inter school debate competition at Udhampur

Udhampur |: Civil Defence unit Udhampur Saturday organized an inter School debate Competition on the theme ” NetajiSubashChander Bose” for his contribution to freedom struggle under AzadiKaAmrutMahotsav ( India @75) celebration under the leadership of DaneshRana, Commandant General , Homeguards /Civil Defence & SDRF J&K- Jammu and under the supervision of Vikas Gupta I/C Dy. Inspector General of Police, Homeguards /Civil Defence & SDRF Jammu in the premises of Shivalik College of Education Udhampur.
Additional Superintendent of Police Udhampur Anwar -Ul-Haq was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The programme was attended by District Youth Officer, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Koushal Gupta; Ram Kumar, Deputy Chief Education Officer, BhagwanDass; Principal Indira Memorial Higher School, VikramGulati; Principal of Shivalik College of Education, Mahadeep Singh Jamwal; Retd. SSP, Jai Parkash; Retd. Lecturer besides participants.
At the outset, Deputy Controller Civil Defence, UdhampurVidyaSagar presented welcome address and shared his experience with the participants. While highlighting the aims and objective of civil Defence /Disaster Management, he urged upon youths to Join hands with Civil defence.
UsmaGul of Indira Memorial Higher Secondary School Udhampur clinched first position while KajalVerma of Common Public Higher Secondary School and Shakhsi Devi of Happy Model Higher Secondary School Udhampur bagged 2nd and 3rd position respectively. Deputy Chief Warden Civil Defence, VedParkashKahsyap and SwatantraDevKotwal conducted the proceeding of the programme. Later, the chief distributed prizes among participants on the occasion.
