Stress laid on speedy development of playground facility for local youth

DC Budgam holds Public Darbar at Beerwah

Budgam | : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza Wednesday chaired a daylong public darbar at DIET Beerwah.
During the programme Sarpanchs from Kondoora, Bonhama, Sonpah, Utligam, Larbel, Arwahi and Panchs, respected elders and members of youth clubs from Beerwah town and adjoining villages raised their issues and demands with the DC for prompt redressal.
The demands raised included, adequate water and electricity supplies to all areas, sanctioning of poles and improvement in HT and LT lines, macadamization of main and link roads, renovation of panchayat ghar, schools and other facilities, road development up to Tosamaidaan, playground, improvement in heath facilities.
After giving patient hearing the locals, the DC instructed concerned to start development of the playground at Beerwah town on war footing, so that a facility is created for the local youths.
He said that there was swift development process going on across the Beerwah and directed concerned PHE Ex. Engineer to accelerate execution of works under the JJM scheme so that tap water supply is provided to all the households.
He said the work on various Water Supply Schemes is going in full swing and all affected households shall be connected through these schemes soon.
The DC stressed on conducting fresh surveys for inclusion of left out deserving BPL and AAY ration cards. Directions were given to the concerned to ensure timely execution and completion of works and survey be conducted for upgradation of school to the higher level.
He further sensitized people to coordinate for environment protection and appealed them to adopt proper Covid Appropriated Behavior to stay safe from the spread of Covid- 19.
Among others, SDM Beerwah, ACD, CEO, CMO, Principal DIET, Tehsildar, Ex. Engineers of various engineering wings and other concerned were present on the occasion.
