Speaker, Dy CM inaugurate 50 MVA Transformer at Gangyal

Jammu: Speaker Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta and Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh inaugurated 50 MVA electric transformer at Industrial Area, Gangyal here Monday.

The Speaker congratulated the industrialists and residents of the area for the increased capacity of the grid station. He said the addition of 50 MVA transformer was the long pending demand of the locals. He assured that the work for upgradation of the industrial area will be started at the earliest.

He stressed on well-prepared plans to execute developmental projects effectively for the benefit of the people.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said augmentation of new transformers was necessitated to meet up applied and future demand of industries and domestic consumers of the area. He said more projects of power development have been approved to provide an adequate power supply to the locals.

Referring industrial sector as an indispensable aspect of the state economy, the Deputy Chief Minister said the government will leave no stone unturned to develop the industrial sector in the State equivalent with other states.

He said Power Development Department will provide all the requisite support to the industrial sector and special provisions will be made to boost the economy of the state.

He said the talks with the Prime Minister to overcome the various difficulties faced by the industrial sector of state has met with a positive response and assured that an environment for the further growth of industries will be ensured.

Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga applauded Power Development Department for installing much needed high capacity transformer in the area. He assured that various new development works will be soon initiated to benefit the industrial sector of the state.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Education, Technical Education, Culture, Tourism, Priya Sethi said the State is going through a positive transitional phase. More efficient work for the welfare of the people will be initiated, she added.

MLA Rajesh Gupta, MLC Vikram Randhawa, President of AOI , Gangyal, Rajesh Jain, Secretary AOI, Gangyal, Vijay Sharma, Vice Chairman SIDCO, Subash Jandial and various senior functionaries of PDD were also present on the occasion.
