Ramban admin mobilizes men, machinery to vaccinate 15 to 17 year age group from Jan 3

Ramban | : Ramban Administration has mobilized the men and machinery to vaccinate children falling in 15-18 year age group within prescribed time in the district.
In this regard, the Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam Saturday chaired a meeting of senior officers of Education, Health and concerned departments to discuss and finalize the strategy to roll out Covid the vaccination for the age group from Jan 3, 2022.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Fareed Bhat, CEO, VK Koul, Dy.CMO, Dr. Iqbal Bhat, Tehsildar, Rafiq Ahmad and various officers attended the meeting while Block Medical Officers and Zonal Education Officers joined the meeting through virtual mode.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the ZEOs to prepare a roster to ensure vaccination of each and every student in their respective jurisdictions in close coordination with the Health Department, especially with the concerned BMO. He further asked them to submit the daily progress report to his office. The CEO was directed to ensure that the Principals and Headmasters of the schools will be present at vaccination sites.
The DC also directed the ZEOs and BMOs to ensure the vaccination of migrated students as per guidelines. He also informed that Tehsildar concerned will be the overall in charge for the vaccination drive.
The DC instructed the CMO to depute a team for all vaccination sites as per roster to register the people under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) SEHAT scheme.
The present Covid-19 scenario was also discussed in the meeting. It was informed that 100% of the population above 18 year has been fully inoculated in the district.
The DC directed the CMO and BMOs to ensure Covid sampling of people by conducting RT PCR and RAT as per directions especially at Nashri tunnel, Navayuga Tunnel, JT tunnel and Railway station Banihal.
