Block Diwas: DC Ang holds grievance redressal camp at Vessu

Ang |  The weekly Block Diwas programme was Wednesday held at Higher Secondary School Vessu, Anantnag with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla presiding over the grievance redressal camp.
He was accompanied by senior officials from Health, R&B, Jal Shakti, KPDCL, Revenue and RDD.
The public darbar witnessed massive participation of people from Vessu and adjoining villages. Several demands were flagged-off mainly related to supply of water in village Nepora, X Ray machine at PHC Vessu, footbridge from Malpora to Zadoora and development of road to PHC Vessu.
The people hailed the initiative and thanked the district administration for holding the block diwas in Vessu.
The DC while interacting with the public laid stress on efficient service delivery to people. He directed the frontline functionaries to be receptive towards public grievances. He put forth the expenditure on various schemes that are being implemented in the area.
Dr Singla asked the people to participate enthusiastically in gram sabhas and ensure that works as per local requirements are prioritized for execution.
He stressed on golden card registrations and appealed to people to visit their nearest CSC and get a golden card. He said that PM SEHAT is a novel initiative aimed at assuring quality healthcare to the citizens.
The DC directed CMO Anantnag to organise special awareness and registration camps in this regard.
He inspected several works in the area including a link road being developed under B2V3, construction of Anganwadi centre at Chek i Rajmali under Dist Capex at a cost of 11.6 lacs, tiling of CSC complex at Gurudwara at a cost of 5.75 lacs and a crate bund at Nalai Sandin Zadoora being constructed at 5.30 lacs.
The DC stressed on timely completion of works under execution. He directed the BDO to schedule gram sabhas so that development plans for the coming year can be discussed elaborately and finalized well in time.
It is in place to mention that a total of 454 works are being implemented in Block Vessu at a cost of Rs 11.13 crores under Dist CAPEX, 14th FC, MGNREGA and B2V.
The DC was accompanied by ADDC Anantnag, CPO, ACD and other senior officials.
