DGP addressed a darbar of officers at APC Mansbal, Reviews law and order preparedness

Srinagar| : The Director General of Police J&K Shri Dilbag Singh yesterday visited Central Kashmir Ganderbal District where he addressed a Darbar of Jawans of IR 8th Bn and AP 14th Bn at the Armed Police Complex Manasbal.
Accompanied by ADGP Armed Shri, S.J.M Gillani, IGP Kashmir, Shri Vijay Kumar, the DGP was received by Commandant IR 8th Bn Shri Imtiyaz Husssain, commandant JKAP 14th BN, Shri Raj Singh Gouria, principal PTS Manigam, Shri Showket Ahmad and other senior officers and was presented a Guard of Honour on his arrival.
While addressing the Darbar of Jawans and officers, the DGP stressed for focus on law and order and security drills training needs so that adequate response is ensured in case of any contingency. He directed the personnel to use the protective gear while on duty for personal safety. Stressing for change in work behavior, the DGP directed the personnel to be alert and vigilant during duties to avoid any unpleasant incident. He emphasized on strengthening the security of the campus. He also directed the officers to improve the living facility for Jawans and officers in the campus.
DGP gave a patient hearing to the points and requests made and assured them that issues which require attention of PHQ would be decisively looked into for solution. He said that welfare of Jawans is always on top priority of PHQ and directed the officers to address genuine issues highlighted by Jawans during Darbar on priority. He ordered for providing Medicare facilities at battalion levels. The DGP assured that ATM and Gas outlet facility would be made available in the campus in coming times.
Commandant IR 8th Bn, Shri Imtiyaz Hussain and commandant JKAP 14th BN, Shri Raj Singh Gouria briefed the DGP about the functioning of their respective battalions and also assured that the orders of DGP would be put in practice in letter and spirit.
