Good Governance Week: Distt Admin G’bal holds weekly Block Diwas at Wakura

G’bal | : As a part of Good Governance week, the District Administration Ganderbal headed by
Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Pir Muzafar Wednesday convened a weekly Block Diwas at Block Wakura to resolve public grievances on spot.
People of Wakura and adjoining villages participated enthusiastically and registered their grievances before the district officers.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, PRIs and district officers were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC highlighted the purpose of celebrating Good Governance week and gave necessary instructions to the Officers regarding disposal of grievances raised in a time bound manner. He urged the officers to adopt the good governance practices and improve service delivery in the best interest of the public.
Replying to the issues of the public, the ADC said that district administration has chalked out detailed plans of the activities to be held during celebration of Good Governance week to redress public grievances and improve service delivery mechanisms so that people are benefited at grass roots level.
During the day three of Good Governance week, various activities were carried by the departments throughout the district promoting online services launched by the concerned departments for the conveniences of the general public including mass awareness about the government schemes.
The day three witnessed overwhelming participation of people in varous activities carried by the departments aimed at to improve the public service delivery and on spot redressal of grievances.
Meanwhile, Fire and Emergency Services Ganderbal held a Fire safety awareness program at Vidiyala School Hatbura.
Likewise, Office of Chief Medical Officer Gandarbal issued Labour Registration, Age and Physical Fitness Certificates as a part of celebration of good governance week under Azadi ka Amrit Mahautsav.
Deputy Registrar Cooperative organised a special drive for Willow Wicker Cooperative at Gadoora under PSGA.
Similarly, the Agriculture Department held an awareness camps about the schemes at Chattergul and Kullan. Besides, the Social Welfare Department distributed hearing aids among eligible persons.
Earlier, ICDS project Ganderbal organized Anaemia Mukt Camp at Gutlibagh under flagship programme and distributed Iron tablets among Anaemic patients at NTPHC Gutlibagh.
