Good Governance Week: Series of activities held across Kulgam

DC presides over Mega grievance redressal camp at Kulgam

Kulgam | : On day 3rd of ‘Good Governance Week’ being organized under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ with a theme ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur’, the district Kulgam Wednesday witnessed multifarious activities throughout the day.
Mega grievances redressal camps were organized at Block D.H.Pora, Devsar and Kulgam besides grievances and issues were also listened to in various other areas, villages and Panchayats of the district.
Several departments including Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Industries, Labour besides others held awareness programmes and apprised the people about various schemes and services offered by them.
Special awareness camps for unemployed youth were organised to awareness them about various government’s employment generation schemes.
Agriculture machinery including Motorised vending carts, Sprayers, Soil health cards, Domicile, Income and other certificates were also provided to the beneficiaries. The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat presided over a Mega grievance redressal camp at Town hall here and listened to issues and grievances of people for redressal.
People from Liroo, Laroo, Kanipora, Ashmuji, Bugam, Sangas, Khandipora, Katrasoo, Chelan, Dairpora, Zradipora, Chawalgam and other areas participated in the camp. The locals and the PRI members raised various demands and issues for disposal.
The DC after giving patient hearing to the delegations redressed various issues on the spot. He also instructed Executive Engineers of PDD and PHE to resolve all issues of people.
The Executive Engineer PDD appealed to people to make judicious use of electricity during the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the administration is focused to listen to issues of people for immediate redressal.
He however strongly urged people to adopt COVID Appropriate Behavior to thwart the possibility of spread of the fresh wave of COVID-19.
A-SP, ACD, Executive Engineers from PDD,PHE,CMO, Tehsildar, BDO and other officers were present to respond to and resolve issues of people.
