DE&CC Jammu holds Career Counselling cum Awareness program

Jammu| Dec, 20: District Employment & Counselling Centre, Jammu organized a Career Counselling cum Awareness Programme at Centre for Border Youth Training & Empowerment (CDYTE) Changia, Tamala, Block Arnia. The programme was aimed at educating the local youth about Self Employment Schemes being implemented by various Government Departments in J&K.
Employment Officer Shivali Choudhary, the resource person from the DECC Jammu, talked about Seed Capital Fund Scheme, Youth Start Up Loan Scheme, Women Entrepreneurship Programme and Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme etc.
The aim of such Awareness Programmes being conducted in rural areas is to reach out to the youth at grassroots level and help them by providing necessary Guidance & Counselling to increase their Employability.
With this view, the department hosted similar sessions at various CDYTE Centres across the district viz. Mandal, Marh, Suchetgarh, Samwan, Akhnoor, Khrabali, Khour and Pargwal wherein resource persons from the Department, including Career Counselling Officer, Dushant Singh guided the candidates about various Career Avenues available for the unemployed educated youth in both Govt. & Private Sectors.
