52 bovine animals rescued in Jammu , Four different vehicles also seized : Police

Jammu |: Police on Saturday said that it has rescued 52 bovine animals in Jammu district, adding therein that four different vehicles were also seized in this connection.
In a statement issued on Saturday police said that in a massive drive against bovine smuggling, Jammu Police has rescued 52 bovine animals, i.e, 46 bovine animals at a naka near Khanpur Nagrota by P/S Nagrota and 6 bovine animals on different naka near Gedda by PP Manwal, stating therein further that four different vehicles viz vehicles bearing Registration Nos. JK02CQ-1123, JK02V-3887, JK02AP-7318 by P/S Nagrota and vehicle bearing Registration No JK02BU 4542 by PP Manwal, have also been seized.

Stating that different Case FIR No.458/2021 U/S 188/IPC 11 PCA, Case FIR No 459/2021 U/S 188/IPC 11 PCA and Case FIR No.460/2021 U/S 188/IPC 11 PCA was registered at P/S Nagrota , police in it’s statement further said that cognizance taken by PP Manwal and investigation started, adding therein that the recoveries were made by SHO P/S Nagrota Inspr Vishav Pratap Singh and I/C PP Manwal PSI Ayub Khan under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh.

In the concluding para of it’s statement police said that the the overall operation was done under the guidance of SP Rural Sanjay Sharma, adding that further investigation of the case is going on. Stating that District Police Jammu is striving hard and taking every possible step to curb the bovine smuggling menace, police in it’s statement also said that District Police Jammu is seeking support from the people to share information about bovine smuggling with police for timely intervention for the cause
