Jammu | : Stating that a well established infrastructure is coming up in an arena of sports, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Farooq Khan on Saturday said that Jammu and Kashmir will be emerging as ‘power house’ in sports very soon.
“World class sports infrastructure is in pipeline in Jammu and Kashmir and many multiple sports halls and indoor complexes are either completed or underway,” Farooq Khan here told reporters at the sidelines of national Thang Ta championship inaugural ceremony at Maulana Azad Stadium.
He said that not only in India but Jammu and Kashmir will be excelling at international level, adding that the region will become “power house” in the field of sports.
He said that many associations are approaching for the conduct of national level competitions and such events develops sense of integrity and bonding among players, who carry along message of peace and harmony across.
Khan said that Jammu and Kashmir Government is committed in facilitating and developing sports sector.
