DLEPC selects Anardana, Rajmash & Honey for export promotion

Ramban | : Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today chaired District-Level Export Promotion Committee (DLEPC) meeting to finalized products for marketing and export besides discussing potential export sectors.
GM DIC, Vishjeet, CPO, Kasturi Lal, CHO, CAO, District Lead Bank Manager and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
A comprehensive discussion on the subject was held wherein various issues pertaining to the finalization of the district export action plan were discussed. The meeting was informed that the district Ramban has finalized three products i,e Anardana, Rajmash and Honey to boost export and scale up the production of agro based products.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the concerned departments to undertake extensive branding of the products originated and exported from the district by developing a unique logo and packaging for easy identification and quality assurance in the national and international markets.
The DC directed the Committee members to make special efforts to promote the local agricultural, handicrafts, handlooms and other potential products of the district at highest level, which in turn shall boost the local economy of the district as well as of people concerned with the production of these products.
The meeting listed the terms of reference laid down by the government and to be followed by the district Level Export Promotion Committee.
The DC said that a convergence approach among the various departments is required to promote the export of the products and the district level export promotion committee would help in bridging the gaps.
