Mega Block Diwas Held At Block Zainapora Shopian

People project demands of Public Importance

Shopian | : A Mega Block Diwas programme was conducted Wednesday at Block Zainapora Shopian with District Development Commissioner, Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya in Chair.
Joint Director Planning, Khutsheed Ahmed Khatana, Sub- Divisional Magistrate, Zainapora, Tehsildar Zainapora, Block Development Officer, Block Medical Officer and other concerned officers of line departments, besides people in large number from various areas of Block Zainapora participated in the said Block Diwas Programme.
The people on the occasion, raised various issues and demands which include scarcity of potable drinking water facility, uninterrupted power supply to the inhabitants of the various areas, road connectivity, playing fields, irrigation facilities and other demands of vital public importance.
The DDC listened to them patiently and assured that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner within a shortest possible time for the well-being of the people.
The DDC also directed SDM and Tehsildar for verification of some of the issues and to ensure their timely completion in a given timeline.
DDC was also apprised about the functioning and achievements and progress made with respect to implementation of welfare and developmental schemes of the government.
DDC directed the SDM Zainapora to monitor the works by himself and focus on quality response on all the works under execution in this regard in a stipulated time. He also added that satisfactory redressal is the top most priority of District Administration.
Highlighting the importance of road connectivity around Zainapora Block both for the general public and others, the DDC directed the officials of R&B, PDD, PHE and Irrigation to ensure proper maintenance of all roads, irrigation canals, PHE Schemes and others, besides smooth and timely distribution of compensation to beneficiaries under various road development schemes in Block Zainapora of District Shopian.
While stressing on making due payments, he directed BDO Zainapora to sort out all issues through Gram Sabhas.
The DDC directed the officers to ensure cent percent saturation of beneficiaries under these schemes.
