Brick Kiln demolished at Nowgam Silligam

Anantnag : Tehsildar Pahalgam under express directions from Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Dr Piyush Singla razed an illegal brick kiln to ground at Nowgam Silligam village in Pahalgam sub – division.
Tehsildar Pahalgam said that some persons had illegally commenced the construction of a brick kiln on Abi e Awal land. When the said persons failed to produce building permissions, a team of revenue officials led by Tehsildar Pahalgam demolished the illegal structure. He said that the Deputy Commissioner has issued express directions and no such construction will be allowed.
Deputy Commissioner Anantnag said that dist admn is committed to discourage illegal constructions and defaulters will be taken to task as per law. He said that he has ordered all the subordinate revenue offices to maintain strict vigilance in this regard. He said that any official found colluding with miscreants on this account will face disciplinary action under rules.
Meanwhile, locals from the area have hailed the Deputy Commissioner and Tehsildar for their prompt action.
