DC Jammu chairs meeting to finalise stamp duty rates

Jammu | : Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Anshul Garg who is also the Chairman of District Valuation Committee, Saturday chaired a meeting to finalize the Stamp Duty Rates as per market value guidelines for the year 2022 of District Jammu.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, (L&O), Jammu, Ghansham Singh; ACR Jammu, Vijay Sharma; ACD Jammu, Ashok Kumar; DFO, Jammu, Anup Kumar Soni; SE R&B, K S Kathyal; SDM, Jammu North, Pawan Kotwal; SDM, Jammu South, Abhishek Abrol; SDM Marh, Nasir Ahmed; SDM, R S Pura, Ram Lal Sharma; SDM, Khour, Anil K Thakur; SDM, Chowki Chora/Akhnoor, Virender Gupta; PM, DIC Jammu, Indra Thakur were also present in the meeting.
During deliberation, the District valuation committee appraised the chair that the stamp duty hike haa been analyzed and informed him about the area wise percentage hike in the rates of stamp duty. The meeting was also informed about the reasons for the hike in the stamp duty rates.
A threadbare discussion was also held on the value rates received from the different Rural and urban areas of Jammu District for the finalization of the same.
The Deputy Commissioner also took detailed reports from the members of the Committee regarding the procedure and guidelines for preparing the final list of area wise stamp duty rates for the District.
