DC Kulgam reviews developmental scenario

Kulgam | : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Saturday convened a meeting of officers to review the progress of ongoing works projects in the district and to take stock of physical and financial achievements recorded under CAPEX Budget for year 2021-22.
At the outset officers apprised the chair about the physical as well as financial status of projects targeted for completion in the current fiscal, besides a comprehensive review on the progress of developmental projects undertaken by various departments was also taken.
The DC sought details from the heads of departments including RDD, JKPDCL, R&B, Jal Shakti, Education, Irrigation, PMGSY and other sectors about the approved works, tendering status, expenditure and progress recorded so far.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC maintained that the district administration is committed to ensure all development projects/works are completed within a set timeline and stressed on the concerned officers/officials to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of ongoing works for their time-bound completion.
He also directed the officers to ensure 100 percent budget utilization and stressed to scale up process of expenditure to achieve the set targets.
Among others, the meeting was attended by ADC, SE, Jal Shakti, Chief Planning Officer, ACR, ACP, Executive Engineers of various wings, CEO and other concerned.
