DDC Kishtwar reviews progress of work under Capex Budget, CSSs

Kishtwar | : District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma Saturday reviewed the progress of works taken up under District Capex budget and Centrally Sponsored Schemes here at a meeting of District and Sectoral officers.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Mohd Iqbal; DPO Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal; Tehsildar HQ Chander Shekhar Sharma; CHO Kishtwar Mushtaq Ahmed Wani; XEns PWD, PDD, PHE besides others district and sectoral officers.
At the outset the meeting was apprised about the sector wise physical and financial status of the works taken under District Capex Budget and CSS for the financial year 202-22.
The chair was also apprised that out of the total 2129 works taken under Area Development Plan, about 83% have been granted Administrative Approval, 82% tendered, 50% sanctioned with allotments besides 10% of the total works have been completed, while the work on rest is under progress and will be completed in set timeline.
The meeting was also apprised that against Rs 155.88 crore available funds, Rs 116.18 crore have been expended till November 2021.
The District Development Commissioner asked all the concerned officers to submit the action taken report on the decisions taken in the previous District Development Council meeting.
While taking review of the physical and financial commensurate, he stressed the concerned to strictly adhere to the timeline and the guidelines prescribed by the higher authorities.
Further, he directed all the departments to pull their socks and improve the progress by mobilizing the men and machinery so that the maximum work shall be completed within the stipulated time.
Besides, the DDC stressed on to avoid the lapse of the fund as the department will be responsible and direct disciplinary action shall be taken against the defaulting officer.
