Udhampur | : On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib, Pollution Control Committee Udhampur Friday conducted an anti-polythene drive in Udhampur Town. The drive was led by District Officer Pollution Control Committee, Udhampur Bader Hussain.
During the drive, one Tata mobile loaded with banned polythene was seized by the PCC team with the assistance of the Commercial Tax Department.
Meanwhile, the District Pollution Officer sensitised the shopkeepers about the harmful effects of polythene and said that the main objective of conducting seizure of polythene is to make Udhampur polythene free.
