161 youth felicitated under ‘Yogyata se Rozgar Mahotsav’ at Ang

Anantnag : The District Administration Anantnag has felicitated 161 youth during various ‘Yogyata Se Rozgar Mahotsavs’ held at various locations in the district.
Of the 161 felicitated youth, 70 have been appointed as Panchayat Accounts Assistants and 91 have been appointed to Class IV posts through a transparent recruitment process.
Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Anantnag, nodal officer for organizing the mahotsavs’ said that the initiative has been an effective demonstration that merit is the sole criteria for employment in the government. He said that the event served as a means of encouragement for various aspiring youth that attended these functions.
On the sidelines of these events, a massive IEC Campaign was also organised under the ambit of ‘Har Gaon Swachh Gaon’ initiative.
PRI members, notable members of civil society and officers counseled the people on the need to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings. There were live demonstrations regarding segregation of bio and non biodegradable waste.
Officers also appealed to people to organize cleanliness drives in their villages and assured complete support of the district administration.
There are more events planned under the ‘Yogyata se Rozgar Mahotsav’ and ‘Har Gaon Swachh Gaon’ initiative to be conducted in December.
