GDC Kulgam organises Cyber Jagrukta workshop

Kulgam : Government Degree College (GDC) Kulgam Tuesday organized a one day workshop on “Cyber Jagrukta with the theme “Cyber Crimes: Legal framework in India.”
The event was held in the conference hall of the college under the chairmanship of Principal of the college, Dr Nazir Ahmad Simnani.
Principal of the college Dr Nazir Ahmad Simnani impressed upon the students to utilize the electronic gadgets only for useful purposes and not to indulge in Cyber Crimes.
The introductory remarks about the event were given by Prof Sajad Ahmad Shah, Head Department of Computer Sciences. The resource person of the event was Dr. Mir Junaid Aalam, Assistant Professor in Department of Law, University of Kashmir.
The resource person in his speech highlighted all important issues related to cyber crimes and cyber hygiene. Many queries were raised by the participants which were answered on spot during this programme.
The event ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Mohd Younis Bhat, Coordinator IQAC.
Among others, the event was attended by faculty, staff and a huge gathering of students.
