Dist Admin Kupwara organizes daylong awareness, workshop on AZAN

DC Kupwara asks people to access, maintain land record

Kupwara : The District Administration Kupwara Tuesday organized a daylong awareness cum workshop to sensitize PRIs, Numberdars, Chowkidars and farmers regarding ‘Aapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani’ (AZAN).
Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din was the Chief Guest on the occasion. While, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat was also present, besides, ACR, SDMs of Karnah and Sogam.
In his address, the Deputy Commissioner elaborated in detail the significance of this ambitious Land Records Information System and advised all stakeholders to use the portal and get online ready to hand information of your land.
He said it is a unique initiative of J&K Government under Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme. He said anybody from anywhere can log on to http://landrecords.jkgov.in and access online records of his land including Mussavi, Jamabandi, Mutation, Girdawari using Khasra/Khewat Number. He said facility to access data is available from all Revenue offices, SDM office, Tehsil Office, Nayabat, BDO Office, Panchayat Ghar and CSC Centres.
Deputy Commissioner exhorted upon all stakeholders to take printout of land records and register grievances if any regarding their land record at nearest Revenue office.
He said demonstration regarding AZAN was started in the district from November 10 and shall continue till end of this month to ensure cent percent coverage of the district. He urged upon the PRIs to further spread the awareness regarding AZAN among the people so that every land owner can take advantage under the digital programme.
ADC also spoke on the occasion and gave awareness about the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme. He said time has gone when people used to line up in the Revenue offices for obtaining their land records adding that now land records are available on click of button at your own convenience.
Earlier, the Revenue experts demonstrated on accessing land records and guided the detailed procedure to the participants in the programme.
