Though high intensity waves of pandemic downgraded public connectivity and henceforth the economy of the people across the world and more so in Jammu & Kashmir like several states and union territories of the country but people also learnt from the harsh experiences of covid-19 pandemic that changed the dynamics of life patterns of the people particularly their livelihoods. Though people forget about the changes that changed their lifestyles from time to time but the experiences of the high intensity periods of pandemic are absolutely unforgettable to people in any part of the world and same holds good for the people of Jammu & Kashmir like covid hit populations in any other part of the country.  Amid hopelessness and despair it is the internet and social media which showed people the ways to survive in the worst ever phases of humanitarian crisis. While it is the internet and social media which kept journalists connected with the media houses for which they are working and students with teachers of educational institution where they are enrolled, both internet and social media devised new ways of accountability for law enforcing institutions and other institutions of governance connected with the delivery of public services in almost all the countries of the world and consequently also in Jammu & Kashmir like pandemic hit populations in several states and union territories of the country.  Seeking new jobs after facing exit from the economically shattered business houses has also become a reality only through internet on social media platforms and tele-consultation with the doctors during high intensity of covid-19 pandemic also helped millions to recover from the deadly infection that has almost pushed entire world into a phase of worst ever humanitarian crisis. Getting medicines at their doorsteps through e-commerce platforms is the biggest relief that internet brings to the millions of people amid fluctuation in the intensity of the pandemic spread across the world.

While tending to learn from harsh mistakes internet surfers have not to repeat the mistakes which trouble others and gives bed name to them also. For the purpose of the right use of the internet services and social media platforms the ideas of safeguards against the misuse of either of the two digital facilities by the government have not to be opposed but supported for the purposes of public accountability and responsiveness.

The people as such have to learn lessons from the experiences of the high intensity pandemic periods in last two years and irrefutable fact is that internet and social media have brought more respite to the covid hit populations than the troubles which come only to such people who irresponsibly misuse internet just for fun.
