Srinagar : The website of Zonal Police Headquarters Kashmir (https://kashmirpolice.jk.gov.in) has been facilitated with public grievance redressal mechanism, said a statement issued by J&K Police on Friday here.
The statement reads “Any person or party having any grievance on any matter related to Police Station or any individual Police Officer/Official, especially with regard to misuse of official power/position and unwarranted harassment can file his/her grievance online along with relevant details through the public grievances module on the said Kashmir Police Website”.
The police statement further said that the grievance/complaint shall be monitored by designated officer at ZPHQ Kashmir and appropriate action as envisaged under law shall be taken within 15 days from the date same is received. Stating that apart from filing of online grievances/complaints against the police personnel, suggestions/ comments from community members to improve the police-public relationship shall be appreciated, police in it’s statement further said that the login procedure of the Public Grievance Module involves following steps:
1) Browse https://kashmirpolice.jk.gov.in 2) Click on Grievances 3) Fill the required details viz, Name, Email, Mobile Number, District, Type Message (grievance/complaint/suggestion/comments) Captcha check and Send.
In the concluding para of the above quoted statement Kashmir Zon Police said “Within a period of 15 days, a reply or action taken report shall be conveyed to the sender through mail”.
