Srinagar: Chairman Employees Joint Consultative Committee (EJCC) Aijaz Ahmad Khan on Tuesday expressed his gratitude to the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science & Technology; Minister of State (Independent Charge) Earth Sciences; MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh for inaugurating a separate Bench of Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) at Srinagar.
In a statement issued here on Thursday Khan Khan termed the opening of a separate branch of Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) a historic moment and exuded confidence that disputes pertaining to employees service matters will now be adjudicated by CAT in Srinagar only. He said establishment of a separate branch of CAT in Srinagar will galso reduce the burden on various courts and will also bring respite to people covered by administrative tribunals and henceforth they will get speedy relief in matters related to their grievances and service matters .
Khan said that establishment of CAT was a long pending demand of his Association and people of Kashmir Division.Khan said that establishment of CAT in Srinagar was possible only because of tireless efforts of Minister of State (Independent Charge) Earth Sciences; MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh, Manoj Sinha the Lieutenant Governor J&K and A K Mehta Chief Secretary, J&K.
