Mega Block Diwas held at Kulgam, DC resolves various issues/ grievances on spot

Kulgam: Continuing the Block Divas initiative of Lt. Governor’s Administration, special public grievance redressal camps were Wednesday held across 3 blocks viz. Devsar, D.H.Pora and Kulgam of the district to get first hand appraisal of the public issues.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat held a Public Darbar at block Kulgam and gave patient hearing to all issues put forth by the people.
During the proceedings, a large number of deputations, individuals from different areas flagged off their issues, grievances and demands to the DC.
A delegation from Ashthal demanded repairs of diversion, another from Panipora sought land compensation while a youth delegation from Frisal Chingoon raised demand for development of Playfield.
People from Chingund demanded macadamization of roads, similarly people from Srandoo demanded of making the Bank branch functional at the village besides, augmentation of staff at hospital.
A delegation demanded repair of the approach road to Laroo Adda. People from other areas like Yarikhah, Behibagh, Qaimoo, Redwani, Kanipora and other areas also highlighted various issues pertaining to their area and sought immediate redressal.
PRI members who participated in the programme also apprised the Deputy Commissioner about various issues of their areas.
Officers from concerned departments responded to the queries and grievances of people that pertained to their departments.
The DC after giving patient hearing to the public addressed various issues and grievances on the spot and assured of taking up other issues with relevant authorities for early redressal.
The DC directed to start development work on Chingom and other playfields. He also directed the concerned officers of FCS&CA to streamline the ration distribution mechanism in the Redwani area.
He said that mitigation of public issues is the priority of the administration and directed the officers to adopt robust grievance redressal mechanisms so that people do not suffer at any cost.
He instructed officers to remain available for people every time and listen to their issues for prompt redressal.
ASP, ACR, ACD, ACP, CMO, CEO, Executive Engineers from PDD and R&B, BDO and other officers were also present in this grievance redressal camp.
Meanwhile Block Diwas functions were held at block Devsar and D.H.Pora blocks where officers listened to issues and grievances of people for redressal.
