Ramban : District Administration Ramban Wednesday retrieved 4498 Kanal Roshni and government land in different parts of the district during a massive anti encroachment drive conducted on the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam.
According to the Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Harbans Lal, the land was retrieved by conducting a series of anti-encroachment drives by revenue department in past two days, including 80 Kanal in tehsil Ramsoo, 1164 Kanal in Gool, 375 Kanal in Rajgarh, 922 Kanal in Banihal, 180 Kanal – Batote, 134 Kanal in Ukhral and 1643 Kanal in Tehsil Ramban.
The ADC said that stringent action will be initiated against the land grabbers under law. He informed that special teams were deputed to conduct on the spot verification and eviction of encroachers from villages in all eight Tehsils.
