Jammu: A National Painters Camp/ Symposium organized by Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu was inaugurated by Senior Artist & Columnist on Art & Culture Jang S. Verman Friday at Jammu & Kashmir Tourist Complex at Mansar Lake and Patni Top. Twelve painters from all over the country are participating in the Camp- cum- Symposium.
Inaugurating the camp Jang S. Verman in his address said that JKCCA is organizing multiple art events to promote the art, culture and literature of the region. He sain that the symposium would provide platform to the artists to share thei creative works and views during the camp. O P Sharma, Director JKCCA, informed that thwelve artists participating in the camp are contributing at national leve in their respective regions. He said that the organization is committed to preserve promote and activate the splendid art heritage of the land to unleash the progress of languages, literature and other fine arts, and stimulate & rejuvenate it into a blossoming art movement. He informed that that the organization has conducted art exhibitions & camps at state, national and international level, including successfully organizing ten International Art Exhibitions in the recent years.
The participating artists include the names of well known artists Sangita Sharma, Thane, Jayanti Patil, Pune, Amita Sharma and Anjali Prabhakar, Bhopal, Jang S. Verman, Dr. Shahzad Qureshi, O P Sharma, J&K, Dharminder Sharma, K S Gill, Nisha, Phagwara, Punjab, Sara Syeda, Gurugram and Dr. Mamta Singh, Dehradun (MP).
