Comr Secy reviews functioning of Rev Deptt at Ramban

Says “Apni Zameen Apni Nigrani”, SVAMITVA, DILRMP will facilitate easy access to revenue records

Ramban: Commissioner Secretary, Revenue, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, Friday reviewed functioning of Revenue department in the district with emphasis on assessing status of operationalisation of “Apni Zameen Apni Nigrani” online service, a Land Records Information system.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbana Lal Sharma, ACR, Dhrindra Sharma, SDM Banihal, Zaheer Abbas, SDM Gool, Gias-ul-Haq, SDM, Ramsu, Dil Mir Choudhary, Tehsildars, Executive Engineers of Railway, Officers from National Highway Authority of India and other concerned officers and officials attended the meeting.
Speaking to media persons, Commissioner Secretary said that “Apni Zameen Apni Nigrani”and SVAMITVA are some of the major initiatives of Jammu and Kashmir government under Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme, DILRMP aimed at to facilitate easy online access to Land Records System. “The initiative is an attempt to provide hassle-free revenue services to the public with added transparency and accountability”, he maintained.
He said that availability of online revenue services are at its initial stage and effective measures are being taken up by the government to ensure foolproof online revenue records available for the general public. He informed that through this medium, the public can access records like Jamabandi, Massavi, Mutation and Girdwari without even registering on the online portal. The portal can be accessed by visiting www.landrecords.jk.gov.in.
Commissioner Secretary also sought suggestions from officers for further streamlining of Revenue services.
Commissioner Secretary directed the district administration to establish a Land Bank in the district besides educating people by sending bulk SMS to them about benefits and importance of “Apni Zameen Apni Nigrani” initiative launched under Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme.
Bidhuri directed the Revenue Officers to educate the public about the online portal through which certain revenue records can be viewed and downloaded without any inconvenience. He also asked them to give hand holding and basic information about the online system to the people during the IEC campaign.
Earlier, ADC gave a brief power point presentation about functioning of the Revenue department, status of land acquisition cases of national projects like Railway, National Highway Four Laning Project and other major and minor projects being executed by different departments.
He informed that 100 per cent land acquisition process has been completed for USBRL Railway Project which is under construction in district Ramban. He also apprised about the status of land acquisition cases of national highway widening project saying that land for new alignment between Ramban and Banihal would be provided to NHAI as per their requirement without any delay.
