JKTJAC discusses organizational issues, demands of teachers at executive body meet in Srinagar

Srinagar/Nov, 4: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) today held a meeting of it,s  UT executive members and district presidents belonging to Kashmir division, under the leadership of its Chairman Saleem Sagar at Standard Hotel Srinagar. During the meeting a thorough review of organizational matters was taken and strategy was devised to strengthen the organisation from grassroots level. Later a press conference was attended  and the legitimate demands and issues pertaining to the teachers were raised before the media, and the resolution thereof was sought from concerned administration. 
 All the leders spoke on the occasion  and shared their view  regarding the agenda.  The Chairman in his speech emphasized upon all the leaders of the organization to work for the organization to the best of their abilities, so that the due aspirations of the teachers would be met. He made it clear that any kind of indiscipline in the organization would not be acceptable. In order to maintain a discipline and contribute efforts for the cause of organization, the leaders assured full cooperation in every respect. 
Meanwhile chairman  Saleem Sagar congratulated the senior trade union leaders from Jammu including the Aftab Ahmed  Tantray, Surjit  Singh Chib and Ravinder Manhas who recently joined  the JKTJAC. He said, “JKTJAC is  one of the largest organizations  of teachers, if  the  leaders/ teachers  want to  work under this banner for the larger interest  of teachers, the doors  are always  open for every body”. 
While speaking to media, Chairman raised various demands of teachers including regularisation of EV converted Rets, clearance of time bound premonition cases of teachers, DPCs  in favour of  teachers and masters and other issues lying pending at CEO’s office and directorate, Transfer Policy in favour of regularised Rets, Inclusion of initial  five years of Rets to their service records for promotional benifits, Restoration of Old Pension Scheme in favor of those employees  of UT who have been appointed after January 2010. He urged the authorities to expedite the process of resolution of all the mentioned demands and issues.  The leaders who were present in the meeting include Chairman Saleem Sagar, Senior Vice Chairman Reyazu- Rahmam, Senior Vice President Parvaiz Iqbal,and others.
