Ramban:On the eve of Diwali, Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam along with President Municipal Council, Sunita Devi launched “Clean India Plus” around the year cleanliness drive in Ramban town, here Wednesday.
Executive Engineer, PWD, Councilors of MC and many others were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC informed that the District Administration Ramban has launched “Clean India Plus’ a massive sanitation drive and it will be a regular feature throughout the year.
While inspecting the cleanliness drive launched by the Municipal Council, Ramban, the DC directed the MCs of Banihal and Batote and BDOs to replicate the same in their respective jurisdictions to keep urban areas neat and clean.
The DC also interacted with the locals in ward no 6 and 7 and listened to their issues. He also passed on the spot directions for resolving their issues on priority and urged the people to cooperate with field functionaries of MCs in maintaining cleanliness of their areas.
The DC also directed the SDMs and EOs of MCs to monitor daily morning sanitation drives besides sensitizing the people about its importance.
The DC also inspected the stores of PWD at Maitra and sought its utility report from Executive Engineer PWD
