Inter-zone District –level Athletic Meet 2021-22 commences at Ramban

Ramban: The Inter-zone District-level Athletic Meet 2021-22 for boys of all age groups commenced Monday here at HSS Ramban.
The Athletic Meet has been organised by the Department of Youth Services & Sports Ramban under the patronage of Gazanffer Ali, Director Youth Services & Sports J&K. A good number of students from Government and private schools participated in the mega event.
Principal Government HSS Ramban, Ranjay Kumar was the Chief Guest in the opening ceremony of District-level athletics meet 2021-22.
In address, the chief guest encouraged the students to take part in such events besides highlighting the importance of games and sports.
Aqib Saleem of Ramban, Sahil Singh of Batote & Muzaffer Ahmed of Khari clinched Gold, Silver & Bronze medals in Long Jump competition for 14 years age group, respectively while under 17 age group Saqlain Mushtaq of HSS Khari, Mohammad Asib of HS Senabati and Jahangir Ahmed of HS Chanjloo clinched Gold, Silver and bronze respectively. Similarly Manjeet Kumar of HSS Ramban, Surjeet Singh of HSS Ukharal and Mumtaz Ahmed of HSS Banihal clinched Gold, Silver and bronze, respectively in 19 age group.
In Short Put competition for U 14, Amir Mushtaq of HS Perhinder, Sohil Farooq of CMS Ramban and Maroof Ahmed of MS Muthat clinched Gold Silver & Bronze Medals respectively and for under 17 age group, Ajaz Ahmed of HS Perhinder, Chankar Singh of HS Ramsu and Tilak Raj of HS Dhalwas clinched Gold Silver & Bronze Medals respectively. Likewise, Muneeb Nishant of HSS Maligam , Sonam Singh of HSS Ramban and Nawaz Sharif of HSS Kanga clinched Gold, Silver and bronze Medals respectively in the U 19 age group.
In High Jump for U 14 age group, Zahid Ishaq Naik of UPS Zardi Banihal and Mohammad Zunaid of UPS Jaba bagged Gold & Silver Medals respectively and in U 17 age group Ishfaq Mehmood of HS Perhinder and Tariq Ahmed of HS Trana Khari bagged Gold and Silver Medals respectively.
In 100 m Race for U 14, Rahul Singh of BVM Ramban, Sahil Iqbal of UPS Lablutha and Sahil Singh of UPS Seroh clinched Gold, silver and bronze Medals respectively, while in 200 m Race Andeep Singh of National Academy Ramban, Zeeshan Fayaz of UPS Kundan and Maneer Ahmed of MS Panla Clinched Gold, silver and bronze Medals respectively.
In 400 m Race, Suliman of HS Maligam, Badal Singh of BVM Ramban and Hamraz Ahmed of MS Kunda clinched Gold, silver and bronze Medals respectively and in 600m Race Faizan Amin of Ramban, Sahil Fayaz of GMS Hewgam and Sahil Saleem of Golden Era Ramban clinched Gold, silver and bronze Medals respectively.
The events of Athletic Meet are being conducted by a panel of Officers/officials including ZPEOs PEMs PETs and other officials of the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the supervision of Dharam Vir Singh District Youth Services and Sports Officer Ramban.
