Srinagar: Integrity Pledge Ceremony was on Wednesday observed in the lawns of Armed Police Headquarters J&K Srinagar .
All the officers and Staff members of Armed Police Headquarters J&K, Zonal Armed Police Headquarters Kashmir and Railway Police Headquarters J&K participated in the pledge ceremony following strict adherence to extant COVID-19 prevention guidelines. During the ceremony, they took the pledge that they shall promote business practices and foster a culture of honesty and integrity; not offer or accept bribes; commit to good corporate governance based on transparency, accountability and fairness; shall adhere to relevant laws, rules and compliance mechanisms in the conduct of business; shall adopt a code of ethics for all their employees; shall sensitize their employee of laws, regulations etc. relevant to their work for honest discharge of their duties; shall provide grievance redressal and whistle blower mechanisms for reporting grievances and fraudulent activities; and shall protect the rights and interests of stakeholders and society at large.
The Integrity Pledge Ceremony has been observed as a part of observance of Vigilance Awareness Week which is observed from 26th October to 1st of November every year across the Country in which the Birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (31 October falls). Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week is one of the tools used by the Commission to bring together all stakeholders to collectively participate in the prevention of, and the fight against corruption and to raise public awareness regarding the existence, causes and gravity of and the threat posed by corruption.
