Ist Positive Kashmir Knockout Football Championship: J&K Bank defeats SPDC XI

Srinagar: The Final Match of Ist Positive Kashmir Knockout Football Championship 2021 was on Tuesday played at Synthetic Turf TRC between J&K SPDC XI and J&K Bank XI. The match started with brisk note each team trying to dominate. It was in the 5th minute of Match JKSPDC made a specticular move and scored a fine goal through Hayat which took every body by surprise. J&K Bank consolidated their position and within minutes they found an equalizer through Adanan in 10th minute. The match was evenly balanced and both tried to make another opening and it was in 20th minute Immad of JKSPDC made a brilliant placing in the net and scored the 2nd goal for his team. J&K Bank players took it as a challenge and succeeded in equalizing the goal through Aakif. The Ist half ended in a 2:2 draw. In the 2nd half J&K Bank were aggressive trying to retain the title. It was in the 55th minute of the match Aakif of J&K Bank scored his 2nd and team’s Third goal and they consolidated their lead by scoring another in the 65th minute by Faisal thakur. JKSPDC boys did not lose courage and made many counter attacks but could not find the net. In the 75th minute J&K scored another goal through Prem making the score 5:2 in favour J&K Bank. Thus J&K Bank defeated SPDC XI by 5 goals to 2.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir P.K Poli was the Chief Guest on the Occasion and distributed prizes and mementoes to the players and Officials. It is pertinent to mention here that a cash prize of Rs.50.thousand were given to the Runners-up team and Rs 1.00 Lakh to the winners team besides trophies and Momentous. The Officials of JKFA and Positive Kashmir NGO were present on the occasion.
