DLSA Reasi hosts awareness webinar on Legal Services

Reasi: In continuation to the Action plan issued by JKLSA under PAN India Awareness and Outreach Campaign, District Legal Services Authority Reasi saturday organized an Online Webinar on the topic of ‘Legal Services at Pre-Arrest Stage, Arrest and Remand Stage’ for the police officials for District Reasi. The event was held under the guidance and Supervision of Chairman District Legal Services Authority Reasi, R.N.Watal. Secretary DLSA Reasi, Rekha Kapoor Nischal delivered the welcome address and also conducted the proceedings of the program.
Ranjeev Kumar, Public Prosecutor, Principal Sessions Court Reasi was the resource person. He elaborately discussed the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court in Arnesh Kumar V/s State of Bihar (2014) 8 SCC 273. The Secretary DLSA Reasi discussed the guidelines of NALSA with respect to Early Access to Justice at Pre-Arrest, Arrest and Remand Stage (2019).
The program was attended by the Senior Prosecuting Officer, (DPO) Reasi and Sub-Inspectors (Probationers) of District Reasi. Secretary DLSA Reasi also delivered the vote of thanks to the participants on the occasion.
