New Delhi: Former Committee of Administrators (CoA) member Ramchandra Guha today expressed his displeasure over Rahul Dravid and Zaheer Khan being publicly humilitated after their appointments as consultants had been stalled.
“The shameful treatment of Anil Kumble has now been compounded by the cavalier treatment of Zaheer Khan and Rahul Dravid,” Guha tweeted.
“Kumble, Dravid and Zaheer were true greats of the game who gave it all on the field.
They did not deserve this public humiliation,” the former CoA member further tweeted.
The CoA had put the contracts of Dravid and Zaheer as batting and bowling consultants for overseas tours on hold while Shastri’s appointment was approved by CoA yesterday.
Guha who quit from the post of CoA member had described “superstar culture” in Indian cricket, and also had questioned former players on ‘conflict of interest’ issues.
