With reducing intensity of covid-19 pandemic spread in Jammu & Kashmir like several other parts of the country the youth rendered jobless due to non stop trend of staff reduction in private sector are desperately on hunt for jobs. In the peak marriage season the event management is opening up job opportunities for youth in Jammu & Kashmir particularly Kashmir valley where marriage ceremonies are now held in hotels and community marriage halls of municipal bodies and several government departments in Srinagar city and major towns of Kashmir valley. Event management is not only throwing up job opportunities to youth rendered jobless due to reduction in staff by the private companies during two successive covid lockdowns in last two years but municipal bodies and several departments of the J&K Government are also raising huge revenues by renting out the community marriage centres maintained and developed by them to the people for celebrating marriages in Srinagar city and major towns of Kashmir valley. The event management has become a major source of income even for hotels in Srinagar city and major towns of Kashmir valley where people don’t only hire marriage halls for marriage ceremonies but government departments, leading business houses and private educational institutions also hire conference halls for conduct of public events from time to time. The expanding activity of event management in hotels is also largely contributing to the never stopping mushroom growth of hotels in twin capital cities Srinagar and Jammu and major towns in both Kashmir and Jammu regions. Never forget that event management is becoming much bigger source of income for hotels in Jammu city and major towns of Jammu region where majority of the people prefer to holds both public and private events in hotels.

The unprecedented rise in the event management during last two months is not only reducing the frustration of joblessness triggered by the unprecedented job reductions in private sector but is also gradually fast pacing the restoration of business operations amid fear of the arrival of third wave of covid pandemic in Jammu & Kashmir like several other parts of the country. So by all standards of understandabilities the hope of new job opportunities in event management is fast reducing the frustration of joblessness among the hapless populations in Jammu & Kashmir .

The event management has also become more lucrative business for the rural development department which is renting out village community centres to people for conduct of marriage ceremonies and other public events like seminars conferences and workshops to people in villages across Kashmir.
