Srinagar: Commissioner SMC Athar Amir Khan Friday visited Parimpora where 40 structures were gutted yesterday in a devastating fire incident. He visited the affected families where he listened to the pleas and concerns of the victims.
While expressing his sympathies and grief to the fire victims over the incident Commissioner SMC assured to extend all possible help to affected families who live from hand to mouth.
He termed the incident as tragic and painful and said that we will take every possible measure to help the victim families,” Athar on the occassion directed PHE officials to keep drinking water facility available to the victims.
He also directed Chief Sanitaion Officer to keep available Mobile Toilet vans at the affected site for the fire victims.
He also passed on directions to the concerned to identify near by Community facilitation centre of SMC or SDA where these victims can be shifted and accommodated for a time being.
